Regulatory framework

It depends on the land, the length of the installation and whether the unit stays mobile or becomes fixed. In France, an installation of less than three months is exempt from formalities in most cases (article R.421-5 of the planning code); beyond that, a prior declaration or a permit may be required depending on floor area and zoning.
